Hours: 40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only plus 10 days

Salary: Up to £35,000 depending on experience

As a Centre Maths Teacher, you will be confident to deliver the core curriculum (KS3 and KS4) to our learners in either 1:1 or small group setting.

Many Red Balloon colleagues describe our work as the purest form of teaching they have experienced. This is because of the flexibility to start with the interests of the learners through our “negotiated curriculum”.

Some key responsibilities of this role include

  • Help design and implement a learning programme through negotiation with each individual learners both in KS3 and to GCSE;
  • organise small-group learning where appropriate;
  • set up and maintain records of academic and social achievement for each learner;
  • advise and consult with the Curriculum Lead;
  • actively participate in in-service training

To be considered for this role as a minimum you will need:

  • Qualified or experienced teacher
  • Degree level or NVQ level 4 education
  • Have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
